Bio

Dr. Annelise M. Pietenpol is a Senior Research Associate at the National Policing Institute. She primarily works on the Place Network Investigations project, an emerging gun-violence reduction initiative, coordinating the implementation of the project across six law enforcement agencies nationwide. Annelise earned her PhD in criminal justice from the University of Cincinnati and her Master of Public Administration from the University of Wyoming. Her primary research interests include evidence-based violence reduction strategies, place-based policing, and crime data analysis. An experienced researcher, Dr. Pietenpol has worked within and alongside law enforcement agencies across the country.
